Channel Manager— Santa Clara, CA

Primary Objective:
We are seeking a highly motivated and successful channel marketing professional with experience selling enterprise software through indirect channels into emerging markets.
This is an opportunity to be a part of a unique and hot start-up delivering game-changing technology to the software virtualization industry.  We offer an ideal environment for a creative self-starter who wants to be involved in all aspects of building and managing a value added reseller and systems integration channel for a fast moving and dynamic company. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop relationships & secure agreements with top virtualization VARs & SIs
  • Train and coach VAR/SI sales teams on the value proposition of FastScale products
  • Develop ongoing channel relationships including business planning & funnel management
  • Assist channel partners in closing strategic deals when required
  • Assume primary responsibility  for all channel activities including sales, marketing, technical support and professional services
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a focused & effective channel marketing program
  • Participate, coordinate and ensure the success of product launches through indirect channels
Requirements:
  • A proven closer with 8+ years of successful sales experience
  • At least 3 years indirect sales experience
  • Expertise in building indirect channels from ground zero
  • Specific experience delivering enterprise software products through indirect channels
  • Professional and polished interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven proficiency in delivering effective customer presentations
  • Experience in delivering quality sales training to channel partners
  • Strong individual contributor with a willingness to "do what it takes" to succeed
  • Ability to get things done through others
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment
  • Travel within the United States, as necessary
