We are seeking a strong individual contributor with strong UI engineering skills to work on the web-based user interface of FastScale's virtualization products.

This individual reports to the VP of Engineering and will work with the team lead and group to design and implement new user interfaces for FastScale Composer and other products.

• Work with the technical lead and the engineering group to identify future requirements for added functionality in FastScale Composer.
• Work with the engineering team to design and develop user interfaces for new core functionality.
• Must be a hands-on person with solid UI knowledge and strong PHP coding.
• You will own the technology roadmap for the UI.
• Must be willing and capable of performing many different software engineering tasks as part of a small group of highly motivated, highly skilled engineers.

• Developing web-based user interfaces targeted at system administrators or datacenter operations.
• Developing software and user interfaces dealing with high density data vizualization and workflows.
• Using/developing with relational databases (SQL) - DB2 preferred.
• Using/developing multi-tier network applications (database/application logic/presentation).
• Using/developing web services (ideally using gSOAP).
• Prior experience as Linux, UNIX or Windows system administrator would be very useful
• Experience with Spry, Dojo or other AJAX toolkit.
